Doda :PM Shri Higher Secondary School in Chilly Bhalessa celebrated Children’s Day today with great fervour and enthusiasm. The day commemorates the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, who was fondly known as Chacha Nehru for his love for children. Students participated in various programs and spoke about different aspects of Children’s Day. Teachers also delivered speeches highlighting the significance of the event and its connection to Pandit Nehru’s vision. To mark the occasion, the school distributed free uniforms (school sweaters) to students. Principal Pyar Singh presented the uniforms to eligible students in the presence of staff members. Principal Singh emphasized the importance of education in empowering students for future careers and higher studies. He stressed that the free uniforms would provide much-needed support to underprivileged students and encourage them to continue their education.
