Doda,November 27- In a concerted effort to combat the societal ill of child marriage, Sankalp HEW, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Sh. Harvinder Singh (IAS), and District Social Welfare Officer, Sh. Tariq Qazi (JKAS), organized impactful awareness campaigns at Government Higher Secondary School Girls Hostel Doda and Degree College Bhaderwah.

 

The events included a series of activities such as debates, drawing competitions, and artistic performances, aimed at sensitizing the youth about the harmful consequences of child marriage.

 

Gender Specialist Humerah Balwan played a pivotal role in engaging the students through interactive sessions, encouraging them to express their views and opinions.

 

The One Stop Centre (OSC) and Child Helpline (CHL) provided crucial support to these initiatives, further strengthening the campaign’s impact. Participants from both institutions pledged to work towards creating a child marriage-free nation and empowering communities to uphold children’s rights.

 

This significant step aligns with the vision of ‘Bal Vivah Mukth Bharat,’ underscoring the commitment to eradicate child marriage and ensuring a brighter future for the nation’s youth.
