Doda, February 14 — Mohammad Hafiz, Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Doda, conducted a review meeting with Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) at his office to assess the readiness of schools for reopening after the winter break. The session focused on key directives to ensure a smooth transition for students and staff.

CEO Hafiz instructed ZEOs to compile a list of textbook shortages by title and collect the same by JK Board of School Education office by the end of the month. This initiative will help expedite the delivery of required materials to schools.

Highlighting the importance of a clean and conducive learning environment, Hafiz directed all ZEOs to carry out comprehensive cleaning drives across their zones before the reopening. Properly maintained facilities are essential for enhancing students’ educational experience.

To streamline operations, the CEO emphasized strengthening communication frameworks within ZEO offices, ensuring timely information flow between schools and the CEO’s office. ZEOs are also tasked with closely monitoring academic performance in their respective zones.

Further, Hafiz encouraged ZEOs to use Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan funds through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, focusing on ensuring fully furnished classrooms before schools reopen.

As part of ongoing professional development, the CEO announced plans for zone-wise educational conferences for teachers, aimed at fostering collaboration and improving work culture within the education department.

Lastly, ZEOs were instructed to submit their district plans by Monday, allowing for the creation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to be forwarded for higher authority approval. Timely submission is critical to the smooth implementation of upcoming projects.
