Jammu, India – Mr. Nassem Javaid Chowdhary, JKAS, today joined as the new Director of School Education for Jammu. Mr. Chowdhary brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership, having previously served as the Managing Director of the Jammu & Kashmir Horticulture Produce, Marketing, and Processing Corporation.
In his previous role, Mr. Chowdhary played a pivotal role in revitalizing the horticulture sector in the region, focusing on sustainable growth, marketing strategies, and processing innovations. His efforts contributed significantly to the economic development of Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in the agricultural and horticultural domains.
Mr. Chowdhary takes over the reins from Mr. Ashok Sharma, who has been reassigned as Special Secretary to the Government in the Labour and Employment Department. Mr. Sharma’s tenure as Director of School Education was marked by several initiatives aimed at improving educational infrastructure and enhancing the quality of education in Jammu.
