DODA, March 26 – Hundreds of students in the Doda district recently benefited from a comprehensive Mega Career Orientation Counselling Week and Enrollment Drive, a vital initiative aimed at guiding them after their Secondary School Examinations. The successful program, which concluded at LHS Bhalla and Government High School Pranoo, was led by Mr. Anjeel Kumar Thakur, Cluster Head of HSS Berarru, under the direction of the Directorate of School Education Jammu and the guidance of Chief Education Officer Doda, Mr. Mohammad Hafiz.
The event at LHS Bhalla witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 60 recent JK BOSE examinees. Students actively engaged in in-depth career counselling sessions designed to broaden their understanding of diverse career avenues and educational possibilities. Experts offered valuable guidance on higher education prospects, vocational training programs, and burgeoning industries, equipping students with essential information for their future choices.
A significant aspect of the drive was an enrollment initiative for HSS Berarru. Mr. Anjeel Singh Thakur directly addressed the attendees, underscoring the institution’s extensive academic offerings. He highlighted HSS Berarru’s capacity to provide all three core streams – Medical, Arts, and Commerce – each supported by dedicated and experienced educators. Mr. Thakur also showcased the school’s modern infrastructure, including a well-equipped ICT lab, advanced Science laboratories (featuring a specialized Chemistry lab and a Science Centre), and ample indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
“HSS Berarru is dedicated to providing a holistic educational experience, and our diverse facilities underscore this commitment,” stated Mr. Thakur, encouraging students to explore the available opportunities. “We urge students to consider the various streams and utilize our resources to achieve their full academic potential.”
The Mega Career Orientation Counselling Week and Enrollment Drive received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both students and educators. Participants reported feeling better informed and more confident about their future academic and career paths, with a significant number expressing keen interest in enrolling at HSS Berarru for the upcoming academic year.
