DODA,March 26 – Students from Classes 6th to 10th of PM Shri Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhalra, Bhaderwah, today participated in a comprehensive exposure tour designed to broaden their horizons beyond the classroom. This initiative has provided students with firsthand insights into educational institutions, vocational training, environmental conservation, and cultural heritage.
The day commenced at the Institutional Park with an address from Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Koul, Associate NCC Officer and Zonal Cultural & Counseling Incharge. Dr. Koul highlighted the objectives of the tour and the significance of the PM SHRI Scheme in nurturing holistic student development. The enthusiastic students eagerly anticipated the day’s planned visits.
The first stop was the Bhaderwah campus of the University of Jammu, where students were introduced to the facilities and academic opportunities available in higher education. This visit aimed to inspire and inform students about future academic pursuits.
Following this, the students visited the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Bhaderwah. This provided valuable practical exposure to vocational skills and diverse career pathways, emphasizing the importance of skill development.
The tour then proceeded to the serene Gatha Park, where students learned about ecological preservation and leisure management, fostering an appreciation for environmental stewardship.
The final destination was the historic Gupt Ganga Temple, allowing students to connect with the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage and deepen their understanding of local traditions.
The tour was formally flagged off by esteemed social activist Sh. Bihari Lal Sharma, in the presence of school staff members. Lunch provisions ensured the students’ comfort throughout the day.
The successful execution of the exposure tour was a result of the meticulous planning and supervision by the school principal, Sh. Rajinder Singh Bhall, and the dedicated efforts of staff members Puran Singh, Manju Rani, Razia Bano, Man Raj, and Rahul Sharma, who ensured a safe and well-organized experience.
This educational initiative provided PM SHRI school students with a valuable opportunity for growth and discovery, exposing them to diverse learning environments and fostering a broader understanding of the world around them.
