Militants lobbed a grenade at Indian Army’s patrolling party near Ahagam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district injuring at least 2 armymen.
SSP Shopian, Shailendra Mishra said that the militants opened fire at an army patrol party with a grenade followed by firing at Ahagam resulting in injuries to two army men.
The patrolling party belonged to 44 Rajasthan Rifles. It was attacked near Army Good Will School.
“Both the soldiers were hospitalised,” Mishra said.
The Army has formed a search squad to nab the attackers.
