KARGIL, JUNE 29: A three-day Pension Adalat (PA) conducted by the Office of the Accountant General (AG) concluded at Kargil today.
During the PA, pensioners were given clarifications and replied with regard to fixation and other pension-related matters on the spot. A good number of pensioners took advantage of the Adalat and also appreciated the move started by the AG Srinagar.
According to AG Shourjo Chatterjee, similar Pension Adalat shall be held in Leh district from July 2 to 4.
The AG asked the pensioners of district Leh to attend the scheduled programme and take benefit of the Adalat as the main aim of the organizing of PA in Leh was to aware the maximum pensioners about the problems and issues confronting by them in settling their pension cases.
At Kargil, at least 400 pensioners and state government servants came to PA for various pension and pay related matters. In addition, service books of 25 pensioners have been collected for revision of their pension under 7th Pay Commission.
