Fifty vehicles stranded on the Mughal Road between Chatta Pani and Ratta Chamb Morh following a landslide were rescued in an operation that lasted whole night, an official said today.
He said that Mughal road was closed last night after a landslide hit the highway near Chatta Pani. The road has since been restored for traffic movement.
“A rescue operation was launched after the landslide hit the road, which continued till 3 am. All the stranded vehicles were safely taken out of the area,” sub-district magistrate Surankote Mohd Rashid said.
