Two days after Congress leader Shashi Tharoor sought anticipatory bail in the Sunanda Pushkar death case, Delhi’s Patiala House court has granted his request on a surety of Rs. 1L.
However, he cannot leave the country without permission.
Pushkar, Tharoor’s wife, was found dead in a Delhi hotel in January’14.
Four years later, police filed a chargesheet against Tharoor, who called the allegations “baseless.”
